Privacy policy
Effective date: September 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Natural Mapping, Inc., doing business as SlashVibe (“SlashVibe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, create an account, sign up for product updates, make a purchase, use our apps and hardware devices, or contact us. It also explains your rights and choices regarding your personal information.
1.Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the SlashVibe website, desktop app, hardware devices, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Natural Mapping, Inc. is the entity responsible for the processing of personal information described in this policy.
When you use third-party products and services directly, their own privacy policies apply. See Section 13 for more information.
2.Information We Collect and Process
Information you provide or authorize us to access
- Account information. When you sign up with an email address or use a third-party sign-in option we offer, we receive your email address and any account identifiers, username or display name, profile photo, or other account information you authorize us to access. The information we receive depends on the sign-in method and the permissions you grant.
- Product updates and event registrations. We collect the email address you provide when you sign up for product updates, demonstrations, interviews, testing, early access, or community events. We also collect any information requested in the relevant form, such as your name, location, professional role, preferred platform, or product interests.
- Communications. We collect the contact details, descriptions of your questions or concerns, and related materials you provide when you contact us, request support, participate in research, or submit feedback.
- Purchase and shipping information. When you pay a deposit, place a reservation or preorder, or purchase products or services, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, billing or shipping address, delivery instructions, and product selections. Payment providers process your payment card or bank account information directly. We generally do not receive your full card number.
- Voice input. We process audio you choose to record and submit for cloud-based speech recognition and text refinement.
- Screen content. With your permission, we access screen content and text extracted through optical character recognition (OCR) to understand your work context and improve transcription. Screen images are not sent to third parties for processing. Extracted text is processed by third-party model providers, who do not retain it after processing or use it to train models.
Please do not send confidential code, credentials, private keys, health information, financial records, or other sensitive information through our public website or ordinary email unless we specifically request it and explain why it is needed.
Information generated when we provide the Services
- Transcripts and personalization data. This includes text generated from voice input, along with dictionary entries and preferences for vocabulary and phrasing that the app derives from voice input, sessions, context, and screen text to personalize transcription.
- Session and context data. The app generates information for displaying sessions and context graphs to show results on your device and improve voice input. These are not complete session records. They are processed and stored only on your device and are not uploaded to our servers or third-party services, including when cloud sync is enabled.
- Transaction and subscription records. We create order and subscription records based on your purchases and receive payment results from payment providers, including transaction amounts, order or payment identifiers, and payment and subscription status. We use these records to confirm transactions, manage your access to purchased products and services, and provide after-sales support.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Your IP address and approximate location inferred from it;
- Browser, device type, operating system, language, and display or browser window information;
- Referring pages, landing pages, pages viewed, links or buttons clicked, visit times, and time spent on the website;
- Marketing attribution information, such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content, and term parameters;
- Form placement and submission status. We do not send email addresses submitted through forms to website analytics providers; and
- Diagnostic, security, performance, server log, and error information.
We may collect this information through server logs and technologies used on our website. App activity logs and crash reports help us maintain the Services and protect their security. Technical logs do not include audio recordings, full transcripts, or session and context data.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from third parties that help us provide the Services, including sign-in, website hosting, form, email, analytics, event, social, payment, and shipping providers, as well as marketing partners. The information we receive depends on the service and your settings and permissions.
Device permissions
Microphone access enables voice input that you initiate. We do not continuously listen when you have not started a recording. Screen and system audio recording access enables us to capture screen content, understand your work context, and improve transcription. Accessibility access enables text input and interaction with other apps.
You can turn off these permissions at any time in your system settings. Features that rely on a permission will no longer work when that permission is turned off.
3.How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Services, including account management, speech-to-text transcription, personalized transcription, and cloud sync if you choose to enable it;
- Process transactions, including subscriptions, reservations, orders, shipping, and after-sales support;
- Communicate with you, including responding to questions and feedback, arranging research, demonstrations, events, and early access, and sending service notices and the product, production, and launch updates you sign up to receive;
- Maintain and improve the Services, including troubleshooting, protecting security, and preventing fraud, abuse, and other harmful or unlawful activity;
- Understand website and marketing performance, including analyzing traffic sources, website performance, and the effectiveness of our product communications;
- Meet our legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others; and
- Carry out other purposes we explain when we collect information, with your consent where required.
We do not use your data to train models. We also do not use your audio, transcripts, screen content, personal dictionary, or session and context data to serve ads or build advertising profiles.
4.Legal Bases for Processing in the EEA and UK
Where data protection laws in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK) apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process personal information:
- Consent. For example, when you sign up for product updates or confirm that you want to enable cloud sync. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
- Performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. For example, when we provide account and transcription services, arrange testing, process orders, or provide related support.
- Legitimate interests. For example, maintaining website security, understanding overall website performance, and responding to inquiries, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations. For example, complying with tax, accounting, or consumer protection requirements, or lawful government requests.
5.How We Share Information
We may share personal information as needed in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We share information with third parties that help us provide hosting, account management, storage, model processing, forms, email, analytics, error monitoring, events, user research, payments, and shipping. We require these providers to meet confidentiality and security obligations.
- Professional advisors. We may provide necessary information to lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and security advisors.
- Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information to authorities or other relevant parties to comply with the law or valid legal process, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud or abuse.
- Business transactions. We may provide information in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets. Where applicable, we take confidentiality measures, provide notices required by law, and require recipients to meet data protection obligations.
- At your direction or with your consent. We may share information with other parties based on your choices.
We use third-party model providers for speech recognition, text refinement, and processing text extracted through OCR. Screen images are not sent to third parties for processing. These model providers are not permitted to use the content they receive to train models or to retain that content after processing is complete. We store the data you choose to sync as described in Section 7.
We do not sell personal information for money. Certain disclosures involving website analytics or advertising technologies may be considered “sharing,” “selling,” or targeted advertising under the laws of some jurisdictions. You can contact us to exercise any applicable opt-out rights. These website technologies do not use your audio recordings, transcripts, screen content, or personalized transcription data.
6.Cookies and Similar Technologies
For information about how cookies and similar technologies are used and how to manage them, please see our separate Cookie Policy.
7.Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Services, maintaining security and business records, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.
Audio recordings and transcripts
Audio recordings remain on your device after transcription, where you can manage them. Audio recordings are not retained in the cloud. If cloud sync is turned off, transcripts are not retained in the cloud after processing is complete.
Server storage and cloud sync
Cloud sync is optional and is enabled only when you choose and confirm it. Our servers store the following types of data that you choose to sync:
- Transcripts;
- Personal dictionary entries; and
- Voice input preferences used to personalize transcription.
This data lets you maintain a personalized transcription experience across devices signed in to the same account. When cloud sync is enabled, transcripts are saved during cloud processing. The source sessions used to generate dictionary entries or preferences, session display information, and context graphs are not uploaded with them.
Retention periods and storage limits depend on your service plan and membership tier. Turning off cloud sync does not automatically delete data already stored. You can choose to keep or delete that data. Data you keep remains subject to the applicable retention periods and storage limits.
When you reach your storage limit, we will notify you and give you time to take action before deleting the oldest data to make room for new data. Details about retention periods, storage limits, notices, and the time available to take action will be provided in the app. You can also request deletion of your cloud data or account, except for information we are legally required to retain.
Account, website, and transaction information
We retain account information for as long as needed to provide your account. After your account is deleted, we retain only the information necessary to meet our legal obligations.
We generally retain product update subscriptions and related communications until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the relevant activity ends. After you unsubscribe, we may keep a limited record of your opt-out so we can honor your choice.
We retain technical, analytics, security, diagnostic, and feedback information for limited periods based on its purpose. We retain payment, tax, accounting, dispute, and other legal records as required by applicable law.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. If information relating to our website operations cannot immediately be deleted from backups, we isolate it until it can be deleted. This backup arrangement does not apply to the audio or content processed by third-party model providers that, as described above, is not retained.
8.Marketing Communications
You can stop receiving marketing, product, or launch emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting hello@slashvibe.ai.
Where permitted by law, we may still respond to requests you initiate or send non-promotional messages relating to transactions, the Services, or legal notices.
9.Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access or obtain a copy of your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete personal information;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Withdraw consent;
- Request the portability of certain information;
- Opt out of targeted advertising, selling, or sharing where applicable; and
- Appeal a decision on your privacy request or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
You can manage information in the app or submit a request, including an account deletion request, to hello@slashvibe.ai. Content stored only on your device must be managed on that device. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority, and we will respond within the time required by law. Applicable law may allow or require us to deny or limit a request. If so, we will explain the reason and any available appeal process. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live or work.
10.International Data Transfers
Personal information hosted by us is processed and stored in the United States. Our service providers may process information in other countries or regions, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
When personal information is transferred internationally, we take appropriate data protection measures in accordance with applicable law. You can contact us for more information about these arrangements.
11.Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. However, no website, storage system, or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If a personal information security incident occurs, we will take remedial action and provide any notices required by law.
12.Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact us. We will take appropriate steps, including deletion, as required by law.
13.Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may link to or interact with third-party services, including ChatGPT, Claude, Kickstarter, Discord, social networks, and payment or event platforms. SlashVibe does not control these services. The recipients process information you provide under their own privacy policies and terms.
When you use SlashVibe to send text generated from your current voice input to another app or AI service, session and context data is not sent along with it. Deleting a transcript in SlashVibe does not delete copies held by the recipient.
14.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, products, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy and revise the effective date.
If a change materially affects how we use information we have already collected, we will provide additional notice through our website, app, or another appropriate channel as required by law. Where renewed consent is required, we will obtain it before beginning the relevant processing.
